Founded in 2019, Hoya Tea was born from a deep love for authentic Indian teas and a desire to bring their uncompromising quality to homes across the world. We work directly with small-batch gardens in Assam, Darjeeling, and Nilgiris, ensuring every order is fresh, traceable, and ethically sourced.

How Hoya Came to Be

2019
The Beginning

A Spark in Assam

Founders Rohan and Priya visited a small family-run tea garden in the Brahmaputra valley. The flavors were extraordinary — nothing like the mass-produced blends available in stores. That visit changed everything.

2020
First Harvest

From Garden to Doorstep

We launched our first batch of 200 hand-packed tins and sold out in three weeks. Customer feedback was overwhelming — people could taste the difference in every cup. Hoya Tea was officially born.

2022
Growing Roots

Darjeeling & Beyond

We expanded our garden partnerships to include iconic estates in Darjeeling and the Nilgiris. With 3 new blends and international shipping launched, Hoya Tea found its way into homes across Ireland, the UK, and the US.
